Our Inspirations
The work of Grammodaya Trust is inspired by the relentless efforts of social-worker Shri. Bhausaheb Thorat, whose efforts have translated the arid Sangamner taluka of Ahmednagar district into a progressive district. Leadership comes naturally to Bhausaheb Thorat, a freedom fighter, Congress legislator after Independence and an active promoter of co-operative movement.
Born to a middle class farming in Jorve, in Sangamner, Maharashtra, Bhausaheb Santuji Thorat began his socio-political exposure at the tender age of 13, when he participated as a volunteer in organizing Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s public meeting at Belapur in 1937.
